Being a person who’s last 12 months of live was nothing but the most important battle in my life made me susceptible for all sorts of news which in a headline have “cancer”, “cure”, “breakthrough”. The hardest part is to weed them and not become too excited.

The below I hope is one of those really important ones:

In a cancer breakthrough, researchers report preliminary results of adoptive T cell therapy clinical trials; patients receive ‘killer’ immune cells that target disease molecules.

T cells are responsible for attacking foreign invaders, but they often become inactive in the wake of cancer. Adoptive T cell therapy restores the protective T cell response.
